Wow, it has been ages since I have updated, but that is what happens when life throws a ton of bricks at you and God leads you in interesting and stressful paths. No, life hasn't been all that bad, but it has been stretching the last two months. I can't seem to stay away from keeping busy and so being the easy going person that I am, I have gotten myself into so many things that I sometimes wonder what I am doing. God has been good though even though I haven't learned to say "no" to things that people ask me to do. (especially work, which is short staffed as usual). Yesterday was one of the more stressful days for me. It went a little like this:

I got up at 6:30 sharp, and got ready for school. I had my first class at 8:00 and had two after that until 12:15. By this time I was really tired, especially since I had only gotten 5 hours of sleep the night before. (by the way I am not trying to extract any pity from anyone). So, I came home at 1:30 and was planning to sleep until 4:30 and then do some studying before my EMT class that evening at 6:30. Well I was soundly sleeping when at 4:20 my squad pager went off. I was tired and so wasn't going to go, until I heard, "Traffic crash involving a school bus." That got me out of bed. It had been raining all that afternoon and the wreck was back in the mountains. Four agencies were toned out and it took a little to get back there. To make a long story short, we ended up drenched, had backed up traffic on the mountain road since the road was completely blocked, hysterical parents, crying kids, and two children serious enough to transport to the hospital. It was probably one of the more stressful calls I have run in the last year. I ended up not getting to my class until after 7:00, by they gave me grace. Then I got out of class at 9:00 and then went to Broadway to run with the squad there that I have joined. I was down there from 9:30 till 12:30 and ran one call. I then came home and got to sleep at 1:00. Oh, and on top of that the hospital called and asked me to come in the next morning to work 7-11 am.

Well, I know that you are thoroughly bored, but I had to write something and it made a pretty good filler for this entry, so hope you all are having as good of a time as me, and better, and blessings to you all.

Oh, did I say

GOD IS GOOD!!!!

Great Weekend

Well, I just got back last night from a weekend in Alabama to attend my cousin Micah Heatwole's wedding. He is now a married man to Krista. It was a beautiful and nice wedding and I was one of the two servers for the bridal table so that was fun. It was a thirteen hour trip though one way and so it did get a little long when it came to traveling. I went down with my sister and my Grandparents. We left on Friday around noon and came back on Sunday. God kept us safe in traveling and we were able to make good time. One the way down and back we twice saw a traffic jam on the opposite side of the highway, and yet we were never effected. How cool is that??!! Well this week is going to be kinda busy and this Sat. me and my youth group leve for 8 days in Nevada to teach Bible school. I am looking forward to it because I have been extremely busy this summer and have missed so many things so it will be nice to get a vacation. Also I start college on Aug. 20 so that is something that ya'll can pray for me about. I will be taking 13 credit hours plus work part time at the hospital plus still run with the rescue sqad plus take an EMT-B class!!  WOW just typing that out makes me realize how much I will really be doing. well that is enough for now. You all have a great week, love ya all.

I guess I am finally updating. I have been told that I need to. I have been working at the hospital on 3-11p shifts five days a week but starting this next week I am going to be working 1-11p four days a week. Things have been going really good and I have been enjoying my job. The last week I have been working in Phlebotomy and really have been enjoying that. I have been getting better at it and am now getting almost all of my sticks even on some of the harder ones, like the older people.
I have also been milking for a farmer four mornings a week and so that keeps me pretty busy. It can be tiring too because on some of the days I get home at 11:30 or 12:00 at night and then get up the next morning at 4:30 to milk. I am doing alright so far though.
I am also signed up for Blue Ridge Community College to start on my goal of getting my RN license.
God bless ya all.
